Highlights Foundation Scholarship

At the urging of my wife, I applied for a scholarship to attend a four day writing workshop hosted by the Highlights Foundation. The specific workshop (they have many) that I applied for is focused on writing first chapter books and books for beginner readers. It is an area that I would love to expand my writing into, and I though this would be a great opportunity.

I recently found out I was accepted and offered a grant to attend the workshop retreat. It is June 10-13 in the Poconos and I am really looking forward to the chance to get away, to write, learn, and network with other writers. After spending much of the last two years back in college, a four day writing workshop will be an amazing respite and learning opportunity of a different kind.
